ABOUT
Molly Upchurch
RYT-E 500, MS in Sustainability Certified Feng Shui Consultant
I’ve been both an instructor and a student of yoga for the past 16 years, and have received teacher certifications from White Lotus Foundation and the Samudra School of Living Yoga. I’m also a Certified Feng Shui Consultant, and have recently completed my Masters of Science in Sustainability from Lipscomb University.
Not only has Elemental Vitality provided a way for me to integrate all of my passions, but it has allowed me to offer sessions and consultations that help guide others into a state of harmony in body, mind, spirit, and home.
The yoga classes I teach are in the prana vinyasa style, wherein breath awareness, fluidity, and freedom are found as we move through solar and lunar sequences. I lead public yoga classes, workshops, and retreats, in addition to offering private yoga and ayurveda sessions for individuals and organizations.
During my Home Balancing Consultations, I work with clients to create a supportive and intentional home — a home that empowers a life of peace in connection to your life’s purpose, all in a sustainable relationship with nature.
Through the wisdom of yoga, ayurveda, feng shui, and sustainability principles, I’ve learned how to create a life of balance, and I’ve discovered teaching techniques that let me share this knowledge with my community.

YOGA
Through proper nourishment, movement therapy, mantra, and meditation, we release tension and stagnation to cultivate an awakened inner state. As a result, the outer expressions in our relationships, our work, and our creativity have more strength, clarity, and intention. These are the five private yoga session styles:
Earth-Grounding
Patience, endurance, and stamina are easily accessible when the inner element of Earth is in balance. Earth Sessions will bring you back to the slow, steady rhythm of your heart, connecting you with the pulsations of the Earth.
Water-Nourishing
When creativity and sensuality are abundant and free-flowing, the element of Water is receiving proper nourishment. Through Water Sessions, you can thaw out any stiffness and easily connect with your natural fluidity.
Fire-Activating
Our inner Fire keeps us smoothly digesting life, and inspires us as we face challenges and new opportunities. Fire Sessions will help you assess the state of your own inner Fire, dissolving unnecessary tensions while igniting the power of unwavering strength and clarity.
Air-Freeing
When we’re open and free, we’re able to move through life in a dance, gracefully flowing from moment to moment. When we’re in balance with Air, our heart is full of warmth and we’re generating compassion without conditions or restrictions. Air Sessions will dissolve inner knots to create receptivity and generosity in the heart.
Space-Opening
Balancing the element of Space enhances inner and outer communication, intuition, and communion between self and the universe. When inner alignment with Space is awakened, it becomes possible to integrate the full spectrum of the elements into your whole being.
Sessions can concentrate on one element or combine different elements, depending on your needs.

THE BIG BALANCE SEMINAR
The Big Balance Seminar will guide participants in maintaining balance within self, in home life, in work life, in community, and beyond. This seminar incorporates knowledge and key concepts from the studies of yoga, ayurveda, feng shui, and sustainability — because as you’ll discover, much of what sustainability advises is parallel to the teachings of yoga, as well.
Equilibrium, adaptability, and resilience are core components of both sustainable practices and the practice of yoga, all of which play a part in your journey towards a healthy lifestyle alignment. Molly’s goal is to integrate these principles into your everyday life, and to empower you with simple, relevant applications you can immediately begin using.
From your time together, Molly hopes you’ll find a fresh perspective — expanding your intellectual mind, liberating your innate creative abilities, and turning seemingly monotonous moments into significant experiences. You’ll transition from stress to ease, open up to your full potential, and uncover the harmony that lies within you.

FIVE ELEMENTS ESSENTIAL TO SUSTAINING BALANCE
For thousands of years, cultures around the world have considered five elements central to the balance of life. When we’re living in elemental balance, not only do we experience a sense of peace and vitality, but we’re free to move into our full potential without restriction.
EARTH: Associated with our basic needs: food, water, shelter, and security. Earth is connected to our feeling of being grounded and our sense of stability.
WATER: Associated with our creativity. Water allows us to flow with the natural currents of our creative spirit with spontaneity and without inhibition.
FIRE: Associated with our ability to transform and manifest. Fire turns physical matter into the energy that sustains us, and gives us the power to offer our creative potential to the world.
AIR: Associated with our adaptability and resilience. Air connects us to the power of manifesting our lives with a heart-centered strength and gracefulness.
SPACE: Associated with our awareness of how we are connected to the whole. Space helps us perceive the ripple effect of our actions.
By observing the unique characteristics of each element, we can apply their individual qualities to help bring balance into our own lives.
